Ga. student killed in school bus crash

 
Georgia State Patrol Cpl. Chris Kelch said in a Tuesday statement that 15-year-old Rebecca Hall 
of Valdosta died after the crash Monday afternoon on Interstate 75 in Valdosta. Kelch said a semitrailer 
carrying a load of metal beams collided with the bus.
Lowndes County Schools said in a statement that the bus was traveling south on I-75 from Lowndes 
High School to Lowndes Middle School. The state patrol said more than a dozen students were taken to 
South Georgia Medical Center. Valdosta, in far south Georgia, is about 15 miles from the Florida line.
